This report lays out in detail the making and analysis of Ivatan Memories. Ivatan Memories is a project that aims to collect and showcase old photographs of Batanes in an accessible and user-friendly website. Its intention is to serve as a digital manifestation of the bigger goal of preserving history. As important visual evidence of history, the exhibition of the collection provides old photographs a dedicated space in the virtual world that exceeds its physical counterpart in terms of accessibility and preservation. Major points of interest in this project is the process of collection of old photographs from varied sources, collaboration and crowdsourcing through social media, research involving indigenous groups, and the creation of a website aimed for public viewing at low to zero cost.
