Abstract
The study examines the M&E Plan prepared for SBPA to check its effectiveness in setting up the M&E process. The study also describes and compares the Current M&E Activities being conducted by Ecology Center with the M&E Plan. The study aims to propose for the possible members of the M&E Team for SBPA.
The study started with a literature review from more general references to specific ones. Secondary data collection was primarily used for the study combined with some interviews, actual field visits and use of GIS program to generate maps. Tools such as digital camera, kayak, computer and printer, binoculars, GPS, etc. are used for the study.
The study concluded that the M&E Process for SBPA barely measured the progress and effectiveness of the biodiversity conservation strategies being implemented in SBPA. The M&E Process needs streamlining that could be addressed by the preparation of a Detailed M&E Plan for SBPA. Preparation of a Detailed M&E involves complex tasks that require careful planning with the stakeholders and should be supported by them.
