dc.description.abstract | Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) have long been associated with infrastructure development, however, their application in research and development (R&D) remains limited, especially in the Philippines. This study investigated the role of PPPs within R&D through ethnomethodology as research framework and autoethnography as methodological approach. Given the nature of autoethnography, this study was written from a first-person perspective. By drawing from the author’s lived experiences in PPPs and naturally occurring data, the research highlighted the dynamics of leadership that influence R&D project progress. The results highlighted how leadership visibility, proactive facilitation, strategic task delegation, network building and collaborative leadership significantly influenced these partnerships. The study provides actionable insights, emphasizing that PPP in R&D can be encouraged by integrating diverse leadership practices, perspectives, and promoting a culture of continuous collaboration. | |
