This study investigated the extent of communication phenomena in the dragon boat sport based on the regional and cultural influences that I personaly experienced during the course of training routines and various racing events in Cagayan de Oro City. In this study, I deconstructed my lived experiences as recorded in mobile phone videos, communication patterns, both verbal and non-verbal, and with introspection, drawing theoretical perspectives that can contribute specificaly to' sports communication. Using autoethnography as framework derived from ethnography in general and ethnography in communication in particular, I devised a model, hence the term "Binidyo," which was derived from Bisaya or Cebuano phrase, "binuhat nga bidyo," which means "video works" or "produced with the use of video" in the context of Autoethnography study. Through "Binidyo," emerging communication phenomena were noted, at the same time explored the potential use of "Binidyo" in future Autoethnography research, or a precursor in developing documentary films.
