Abstract
This research seeks to answer this overarching question, “What is the current knowledge management landscape of MTB-MLE implementation determined by implementers and advocates in the Philippines, and how can we leverage and utilize current knowledge management practices to improve the implementation in the country?” Mixed methods and triangulation in the analysis was employed using key informant interview, face-to-face survey, focus group discussions, observations, and a review of archival documents. The major findings include: 1) knowledge assets produced from various sources, especially from teachers and the community; 2) knowledge repositories are utilized by the DepEd to streamline all learning materials in the country; 3) Knowledge flow, a simple process on how the schools are enabled to generate knowledge with the community; 4) there are knowledge gaps existing within the institution caused by the pandemic and communication barriers; 5) The teachers are utilizing knowledge management tools; 6) limitations caused by poor internet connection and mobile signal; 7) rich local initiatives to support the implementation of the program. One of the biggest contributions of this research is the KM framework for MTB-MLE as well as the evaluation of the program from a knowledge management point of view. Recommendations for better knowledge management include strengthening the technological infrastructure, the addition of personnel delegated only
for MTB-MLE, better monitoring, and evaluation, and publishing an operations manual.
