Abstract
The use of information technology in educational management has rapidly increased due to its efficiency and effectiveness, Malaybalay City Central School (MCCS) is still using a manual way of storing students' information so, an online Student Information Management System (SIMS) was developed to make the accessing of records centralized and acquire, process, store and retrieve information from the Internet. These applications improved the traditional-transaction processing systems. Moreover, the system will be inaccessible to all. The development process will have four major phases: Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition. Inception is the planning stage followed by elaboration which will include analysis and design. The construction phase is where the development of the system will take place and will be followed by the transition phase which will include the implementation, testing, and evaluation. MySQL will be used for the database, and a combination of HTML, JavaScript and PHP for the development of the student information management system. Codeigniter and Bootstrap will also be used for the Website which is also part of the project.
