Abstract
The Enrollment System facilitated the course registration of students specifically the processes of assessment and payment. It provided an interface for authorized users to manage student information, class schedules and scholarships. It was able to generate enrollment related reports such as student form 6, assessment form, enrollment summary and statistics, collection summary and control sheets as they are needed. In its deployment during the 2nd Semester SY 2012-2013 enrollment, the system showed improved results based on the performance indicators compared with the previous system. The system was faster to set up and provided higher availability to accommodate the large number of students enrolling for the semester. Registration time of students was also reduced due to the design decisions made in the assessment and payment procedures in the system. The system was also able to deliver enrollment summary reports as they are needed with the centralized storage of data. With the few features provided by the system and remarkable results obtained in its initial deployment, the system was able to address the weaknesses of the previous system. Thus, it can help to make future enrollment activities faster and more efficient for students and a useful tool for the University administration’s decision-making and formulation of policies.
