Abstract
Description
This study seeks to find answers if there is a significant relationship between DigitalJobsPH, an online freelancing training provided by DICT, and a digital countryside, among the members of marginalized groups in Region 7 and 8.
Since the inception of the DigitalJobsPH program in 2017 spearheaded by DICT, 583 trainees around Central and Eastern Visayas have availed of the cluster implementation of the training.
These trainees come from the marginalized group, which are the priority beneficiaries of DICT: out of school youths (OSYs), unemployed, underemployed, students who can commit to join the training, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and senior citizens (SCs).
The status of some of the training graduates shall be the primary focus of the study. How have they been doing after the training? Have they landed into online jobs, which is the training ’s core? Do they have online presence?
