dc.description.abstract The aim and significance of developing a web-based information system (WIS) was to assist a potential real estate client, be it a buyer, seller or renter, by providing a website with organized, consistent and relevant information regarding real estate properties. This WIS was developed for the project’s sponsor, BaguioRE. A content management framework (CMF) with features similar to a web application framework (WAF) and a content management system (CMS) was used in developing this project, along with Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and MySQL. The website was tested mainly on the Mozilla Firefox browser. The system development process proposed by Howcroft and Carroll (2002) was adopted for this thesis. Design studies were conducted by presenting BaguioRE with the system’s possible database structure, including tables and data, as well as possible information and graphic layouts for the website. Project assessment was done providing a questionnaire for the testers to answer system testing. Frequencies and percentages were used to analyzed and evaluate the data from the questionnaires submitted by the testers.
