Abstract
The Intranet-based Faculty Performance Evaluation System for the University of Nueva Caceres - College of Computer Studies (UNC - CCS) wil answer the need of
producing faculty evaluation results on-time as it has been the long time problem of the University on producing delayed evaluation results due to paper-based evaluation of faculty performance. The system provides modules for faculty teaching performance evaluation assessed by students, by himself, peer faculty members, and the dean of the CCS department, and generates reports for the results of the evaluation per faculty member.
With the evaluation modules that form the integral component of the system, students, faculty and the dean have the means to evaluate faculty performance. Results of
such evaluation are available to the faculty, to the CCS dean and to the Personnel Office for their perusal and assessment at the end of the evaluation period.
The system was designed using Prototyping Model in which a prototype is built, tested and reworked until an acceptable prototype is finally achieved. It was implemented using ASP.NET and utilized MS SQL as its database server. The system is a web-based
application that was tested on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox web browsers and deployed in the main web server of UNC and made accessible to all computers in the
laboratory, which is the evaluation site for students, and to faculty and dean's computers.
